Need More Space?
Having from 60 to 80 storage (for cards) is not enough!! Don't get me wrong. I'm grateful the devs made it possible to increase storage space by completing archive goals, but lets be honest; "Discover 300 Cards" just to increase your storage by 5.... Hmm, doesn't really look like a bargain to me.
During peaceful times (no Holy Wars or Bunnies or Dragons burning your clothes; again!) there may be no need for more storage than what is given. But, when an Event starts, you start to get cards every 3 turns, and with the quests only costing you a few points at first, your pack fills up faster than my bladder on a Saturday night. Then, you see yourself selling, evolving, enhancing and trading a lot of cads just to get some free space.
So, there most be another way, right? Yes!!! Yes there is!!! I've seen comments all around from players talking about this matter, questioning it, and even saying stuff that clearly is not true. As usual, I put everything to the test; wouldn't dare to make a guide otherwise. Here is what I've learned from experience after taking a few risks.
JUST DON'T CLAIM YOUR PRIZES!! Not yet...
I bet you get a lot of cards that, you may want to use in the future, but not right now. Well, just don't claim them! If there is something in there that you need, take just that. Yes, its easier to hit "Claim All" and get the 79 presents you have there, but try not to fall for that.
Is it risky?
The biggest concern players have is loosing their cards, and that is very reasonable. I've had a few things stored there for a almost two weeks now and nothing. Besides, notice there is a message at the bottom of the "Presents" screen that says you can carry up to 9,999 of each item (see bellow). That probably means they know you may actually leave stuff there for long periods of time so they want you to make sure you can fit all in your pockets if you decide to take it all out at once. Don't really know how many Presents can be kept there but I've seen it go up to the hundreds. Maybe there is no limit to it? Anyhow, I wouldn't recommend using this little trick to store high valued cards for the time being just to be safe. I'll keep my presents there for a month and more and will keep updating.
What if I want to put cards in?
Don't just jump in and say you cant do that; cause you can. Remember, you can give gifts to friends. Well, if you have a really good friend who you trust with your life, you could give him whatever you want to store away. Then, he can send it back to you as a present. If you had two accounts, it would be even easier and safer.
(If you do have two accounts, please, don't say it here.)
Safeguarding Treasures
Also, you could use this little trick to store away quest treasures if you think they are in danger of being taken (because of low DEF or something). You cant do this with event quest since those cant be given away as gifts. Finally, remember you cant gift someone with a treasure they have not discovered yet.
And THAT'S how you safeguard a treasure without using Circles!
STORE BY CANCELING TRADES...
The title says it all. You make a trade request to someone offering cards or items in return for whatever and then cancel it. There is a limit of 10 items total per trade, so the max number of things you can store per transaction is 9. The last item will be whatever your asking for from the other player. Right after you make the request, go and cancel it. The items will automatically go to your "Done" section where items from completed trades await to be claimed. Be aware there is a limit of 10 completed trades you can have there at a time. If you already have 10 "Done" trades and try to trade with someone, the game wont let you and a message saying that you have reached your completed trades limit will show.
Other limitations
Also, you should know that you can have up to 9 completed trades and 10 trades in progress at the same time and wont loose anything if the trades in progress are settled. They will move to the "Done" section even if the limit have already been reached. This means you could have up to 19 completed trades waiting there, for a total of 171 extra storage space. Keep in mind you wont be able to trade anymore till you clean up a little. If you keep it simple (9 completed trades) this would give you an extra 81 storage. Not bad, huh? :-)
Precaution Measures
Finally, as a precaution, try not to make offers that could tempt the other part to accept your request (if you don't want to). For example, (9 Rares for 1Rupee) or (9 Powders for a N Card). Try to pick something from their bag that you know they just wouldn't let go that easily, like an SR Card or all their Powders; Even though, there are crazy people out there that would see getting 9 HN or R Cards for an SR Card like a bargain. Of course, this is just in case you forget to cancel the trade, or the guy beats you to it. If you know/trust the other part, there may be no need for these measures.
SUMMARIZING...
1. There are alternative storage solutions: Trading and Presents.
2. Both offer extra storage space; difference being that one is limited to 81 (or 171 with no space for new trades) and the other may be unlimited.
3. The easiest trick to use is the Trading Storage since you can store up to 9 items per transaction and can be done faster. The Presents Storage is still very helpful, taking into consideration its great storage capabilities and that all presents/awards won in events and others go directly to it.
4. Remember; You CAN put items in the Presents bag if you know the right person or if you have other accounts.
4. The use of this information may come with some risks. This tricks HAVE been tested and will keep being tested by no other than Lavoice (me) :-)
5. I do not recommend the use of alternative storage spaces to keep high valued cards for the time being, just to be safe.
I hope this guide was helpful to you. I will keep testing, improving and updating as I go so stay tuned. Thank for reading. :-)
